Leftists, themselves, sometimes write stories that espouse conservative values, and those tend to be the most popular stories, in a way that "oppressed lesbian screams at the sky about transphobia in the public school system" just aren't.

However, the main issue is that conservatism itself no longer mostly espouses traditional values.

People watch a show about family, the father defending his children, defending your land, wise leaders making decisions based on experience, being very religious, and the audience cheers and it breaks sales records.

I am speaking, of course, about Avatar The Way of Water.

Then people look at actual conservatives, and as often as not, they see a slob who will make any excuse not to defend anything.
