our delievery driver stole our food today, and support did nothing! :)

To predicate; not a Skip driver.

You can only speculate that the driver stole the food. I've used the Skip network & Skip can see where the driver is just like you, the customer can. So if the driver did steal your food he would have had to pull up to your place, stop, and then just keep the order. In the future, leave a note insisting that he call *or* watch the app and go meet them. Trust no one.

The other real possibility is that someone else stole the food. There are Amazon porch pirates & there are definitely Skip The Dishes food pirates. I was sitting in my Jeep on the phone one day. I watched a driver drop food off in a building. A minute later, someone walking out of the building grabbed it. A few minutes later, a woman came down and I could see her looking for something. I unrolled my window, honked & sure enough the food was her food.

Now, on the flip side & NOT to accuse you of anything, but I had a friend who did this gig as a second job. I rode along and got to experience it & one reason I always raise an eyebrow on claims of missing food is reasons like this....

- some customers seem to have forgot they ordered food, weren't home or were just oblivious (like the gamer guy in clear view who couldn't hear the doorbell). I'm not sure how you forget you ordered food.

- Customers have no street number, no light or both and some people have basement apartments but forget to mention that. Then there are the people that aren't at home.

- Customers were, for lack of a better word, dense as fuck sometimes Deliver to a building, no unit number. "Please call me" and the number was disconnected. In a couple of cases the person had the wrong address or used a work address when they were at home.

There was a surprising number of issues with customers and often my buddy had to contact customer service to be advised what to do. Now, I'm not saying that's you but I am saying this is the nonsense these people go through. It made me glad that I work in the technology industry & not the people industry.

And of course it could be a pissed off driver who stole it. Not to excuse that behavior because theft is wrong but I've seen how some restaurants treat these couriers. They treat them like pieces of shit. I use Skip frequently but I *NEVER* user delivery for that reason. I go pick it up myself and at times they treat ME like shit. I've been told to go get my bag (what bag, I'm not the driver) and one time waited over 30 minutes for my food. The restaurant confirms the order, sets a time for pickup THEN the food isn't ready. I have to wonder how often that happens to drivers.
