I was made fun of and bullied throughout elementary and middle school years because the mispronunciation of my last and I remember feeling very sad and angry and felt like why tf did my parents do this to me. By the time I was in high school and more mature I didn't allow it to get to me so much. But if you can avoid a misfortune for your child then please do so. On another note, I wasn't a Harry Potter fan so never heard of the name when I was searching for girl names beginning with H and came across Hermione, it looked beautiful but I did not know how to pronounce it properly so I used google and when I heard it I thought it was even more beautiful. But because of the difficulty pronouncing I thought it would be an inconvenience. I went with Harlynn, a mix of her dad and I'd names, his being Harlan and my middle being Lynn.
