PC Patch Notes for 1/16/19

For what it's worth, "skip to whatever mission you want to play" would have been fine before, if you could actually skip everything. But you couldn't and have not been able to for a long time.

You probably don't realize this if you haven't started a level boosted character like JH, which has 90% of the mission journal locked out after the tutorial, even after skipping everything that has a skip button. Even on regular characters leveled the old fashioned way, there are four plus arcs that are completely locked out until you plow through roadblock missions like the Romulus or Dyson stuff.

There are just lots and lots of those individual roadblocks that have been tacked in over the years and never were revised out as the content aged. For new alts, it's a huge pain because you can't just "skip to whatever mission you want to play."

The recent fix, however, did actually solve all of that and allowed you to initiate and skip through every arc to get directly to the things you want to play.

The best fix would be to remove the concept of road block missions entirely and just make every mission in the journal have one of two buttons: "Hail" if you have not played it, and "Replay" if you have.

And for the ones that can't be replayed, just hide them after they are completed (or shuffle them off to the new "info" tab purgatory, since there is never a need to see them again).

The auto hail revisions also will be welcome, but really the idea of locking out content that is almost a decade old has long since ceased having any sensible purpose.
