People who had a teacher change their life, who was your teacher and what did they do?

Senior year. I needed .5 credits in miscellaneous arts for my diploma. I decided to pick drama. I was at the lowest end of the popular list. I was bullied for my looks, my clothes, and for not having any friends. My drama teacher, Mr. Carr, brought out the person in me I am today. He saw my potential for theatre and for working with people. He STRONGLY encouraged me to audition for the spring play. I already had nothing to lose, so I went for it. Turns out I did so well in my audition I landed the lead role. On the first night, I heard whispers from the audience reading the pamphlet and hearing "who is he?". Didn't phase me one bit. I was pumped to be recognized by others that saw what I could do. That led me to be the extrovert military veteran, project manager, and dungeon master I am today.

Mr. Carr, thank you.
