I think she's being smart and I think Pete's argument is a little dishonest, because I. sure he knows why she is doing this. Warren says every time she answers that question why she refused to answer it that way. Because the amount we pay for health insurance and healthcare right now is not paid as a tax, it's paid on a mixture of pre & post tax dollars, depending on your health plan.

While "taxes" will go up on anybody who pays federal income taxes because now health care for everyone is being paid for as a tax, the overall amount that the vast majority of people - including the middle class - will pay actually goes down. At least, that is her argument and T that's why she always reframes the question. To focus only on the "tax" side is to play into the messaging of the political right - a problem Pete is fully aware of and made mention to in the debates.

I am Pete supporter but I also like Warren. I think she is smart and bold and brave. I think this is a calculated move by Pete because he sense the confusion around this point, but I don't particularly like it.
