Physics students design bridges and test them

I did this in highschool physics. We could only use 200 popsicle sticks and unlimited elmers glue, thats It.
Me and 2 of my buddies spent an afternoon working on our own bridges. Mine ended up breaking the school record. We used all the weights we had, so the teacher sent a kid to get more weights from our gym. While the kid went to go get the extra weight, my bridge sat there with the weight it already had on top for a couple minutes at least, until i heard a crack. So i quickly took off the weight until the extra weights were brought to re-measure. I remember telling my teacher my bridge could have held even more weight if that didnt happen but he gave me some pessimistic remark.

My biggest regret is throwing that bridge away :( it eventually broke with all the weight we tested on top and i didnt realize how much it would mean to me. that ended up being probably one of my favorite accomplishments in school now looking back, other than actually graduating college etc. i was really proud of it. i still remember how i made it, maybe one day ill try to remake it :p
