To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand the shitposting. The "shit" is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the shitposting posted will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also the statistics and the "why do you love your club so much" posts which is deftly woven into it's characterisation- it's "shit" draws heavily from Adelaide Crows culture, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the "shit" in the name, to realise that it's not just vital - it says something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike the "shitposting" in The off-season truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Bruce Mcavaney's catchphrase “Yep, he's got it” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as the shitposting reveals itself on their computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
