Story Time - Week of November 06, 2017

Matched with this guy who checked off all the right boxes. We chatted on the app for like a week. He never really made any jokes or flirted, only small talk. Normally this would put me off because I'm really goofy and I had to sensor myself with him, which I should've seen as a red flag. But we set up a date on Saturday anyway because I needed someone to decorate Christmas cookies with, and listen to Spotify's new Christmas music playlist :D
Saturday comes, and he's WAY cuter than his pics. But he's like his messages, super serious and no jokes. In person I couldn't sensor my goofiness, and I could quickly tell he didn't like it. At one point after I made a dad joke, I could just see in his face that he was just over it. Still, we made our Christmas cookies, which turned out literally awful lol.
After the date, he asked for my number and said he'd text me when he was finished with his plans that day so we could hang out later that night. When he texted me, I ended up having to cancel on him that night because some friends who were only briefly in town invited me out.
We texted some more the next day, and when I told him about how proud I was about my resume I just finished, he kinda just jokingly insulted me instead of being happy for me. I replied sarcastically back, and I never heard from him again.
Idk, I've never had someone treat me like my personality sucks before, and it really hurts. Usually guys see me being unapologetically myself and act more relaxed and themselves too, so for it to just make him shut down and think poorly of me sucked.
I'd love to hear what you guys think of this one :-)
