The way I look at it is this: the Maura Murray Community is one of the most toxic communities out there. I've been following this case since 2013 (although I took an extended break from it) and there are SO many people who have been scared off because of how toxic it is. Julie is the de facto leader. Her statements are discussed and essentially everyone influential in this case listens to her and follows her lead. If she simply spoke out against specific instances of harassment in this community, she would dramatically help the problem. A simple email to Eric, "Deeleet is not Deez. Please leave her alone," would have put an end to this.

People keep saying she's not obligated to help. Well of course she isn't. But she has decided to be the leader of this community. She has decided to speak out against the harassment in this community, so she obviously sees it as a problem. But she refuses to do anything to help end the harassment. And, as you pointed out, she liked one of Eric's videos. One that falsely claimed I had confessed to killing Maura and disposing of her body. Eric did the right thing and took it down today, along with all the others. But, from where I stand, by encouraging and validating Eric's harassment, and doing nothing to help end it, it is fair for me to voice my criticism. She might listen, and if she does, it would help the community.
