Powder Coating Carbon Fiber Yellow

That’s not what your original question was, and seems to be nearly the opposite.

I’ll try to better explain my original statement.

Thermoplastic powder coating is very chip resistant. Once it’s on a properly prepared surface and cured, it completely surrounds the item. Another user pointed out that the surface should ideally have a “tooth” for the coating to settle into, and implied that the coating won’t be very durable. I replied that unless it somehow gets chipped (which can happen, but isn’t something to immediately expect), the coating won’t come off because of the way that the process works.

From there, you concluded that it not coming off without chipping somehow made it immune to chipping, which is not implied anywhere in my comment, and continued to double down on that thought process.

I do sincerely hope this clears everything up for you.
