Do you prefer playing on PC with a keyboard and mouse or a gamepad?

I miss my GTA SA keyboard setup so much. On the rare occasion that I need fine control for aiming in place of auto-target, I'd switch controller types. (Chase shooting mission, killing bikers and shooting range.) Heck, even when you have to use the minigun from the helicopter, it defaulted to mouse without having to change controller type.

Why would they not make "look left" and "look right" keyboard control options?!

With my right hand on the keypad, I can control airplanes and helicopters with no problems. A and Z for leaning bikes. S and X and A and Z for looking up and down. 7 and 9 for looking left and right. 4,6 and 1,3 for turning and banking planes and helicopters (I'd switch in GTA V, for planes, at least)

That setup feels so good that I aced all the Zero missions on my last playthrough, a couple weeks ago. I got gold on all my flying tests on the first try. Even using the helicopter to shoot guns and rockets isn't bad.

All they needed to do was include a keyboard option to look left and right in the car!

Trying to drive anything in GTA with WSAD feels just as horrible as trying to throw a fastball with my left arm. I have no issues in, say, Skyrim, but I also don't need that ridiculously fine control that I need when driving a car at 140mph.

As for how the game treats mouse look while driving, if I accidentally move my mouse one half millimeter while making a turn, I'm basically guaranteed to crash because it stops auto centering the camera for the entire turn and I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS IN FRONT OF ME. The settings offer no fix to this! What were they thinking? How anyone drives anything with a keyboard and mouse is beyond me.

I just gave up and ordered a controller on Amazon. After being a (super) patient gamer and getting GTA V for free, I kind of regret finally buying GTA IV. I probably wouldn't have done it if I realized the controls were the same.
