Do you procastinate? if not, how have you fixed your procastination problems if you ever had them?

I used to be one of those people who would wait until literally the last few hours before an assignment was due. This was terrible because on top of the guilt I had while procrastinating, I had major anxiety while trying to complete the assignment in such a short amount of time while at the same time trying to give it substance.

Recently I told myself this needs to stop and so whenever I get a new assignment (i.e. a project or essay) I spread out the work I have to do. So if i have an essay due next Friday, I would mark my calendar for each day leading up to Friday. Research on Tuesday, Start outline on Wednesday, Finish outline and Start Intro on Thursday, etc.

I found that my biggest issue with procrastination was getting started, starting a big project or even studying for a test was always such a huge obstacle but if you start to work on your assignments for just a few hours over the span of multiple days or even weeks, it makes it seem like the assignment isn't so bad.

Hope this helps its just a little thing that I started to do thats been really beneficial to me. Recently i just finished an essay way before it was due! Remember to set small goals and reward yourself after completing them(:
