Buddy, you need to chill out. You are technically correct in the late game, however, an early-game Blademaster Ranger is very useful, probably just as useful as a shotty ranger, on any difficulty. Even impossible, because they are capable of one-shotting Sectoids with a high degree of accuracy, dealing 8-10 damage with the +2 upgrade at Corporal. This means a frag grenade into sword-slash is a near-guaranteed kill. What's more, Bladestorm on rank 4 can be useful for the period of time where you see Stun Lancers but before you see their upgrades, allowing them to kill the stun lancer after weakening them with a shotty shot and before they get hit. And even after, the ranger can be retrained to be the guy you're demanding, and you can swap him into the shotgunning monster you need. The game doesn't start at Andromedons and Gatekeepers and Avatars.

But more importantly, none of that matters. What matters is that you're being exceptionally rude for no goddamn reason. So they play the game on a lower difficulty, or they play it different than you, so what? Why are you sitting there cussing these people out over it? You're acting like they have deeply insulted you, when in reality, it's more that they have different priorities than you because they're not playing the same difficulties you are or facing the same challenges you do. Or, hell, maybe you don't even play at those difficulties, and you're just parroting what you hear the best players talk about, I don't even know. But the point is that there's no need for the kind of attitude you're copping in this chain of comments.
