She actually has her house (or perhaps one of her houses), up the road from my mum and dad. It's not that rural, you can get to the main airports and Edinburgh in about an hour's drive.

That said, the village I grew up in, like many small villages, was quite inward looking. It was quite a scandal when she moved in, not because of who she was, but as the butcher whispered to me 'she's living up there with her toyboy'. Apparently her boyfriend at the time was about half her age, whcih sets tongues wagging in such places.

Interestingly, there are a lot of famous people in and around my area; the creator of Minecraft (now a billionaire) has a house in my village, some lead developer from GTA V bought my mum and dads last house and has two racing cars parked out the front (he sacked the gardener for the house that my dad also uses by leaving a note pinned to the door saying not to come back - 'very bad form' my dad said). And just down the road from where I stay in Edinburgh lives JK Rowling. She lives in a £7 million house that's very nice. My Japanese teacher new the previous owner who, in the marketing photos for selling the house, had included himself in each picture pulling a pose. Like lounging in the bed, or splashing in the bath. Hehe.
