Gotta love people blaming OP supposedly lack of maintanence for an issue that is indeed caused by DBD exclusively.

The pre-main menu screen on DBD causes overheating since 2016. Despite of your hardware being clean or not.

Here is an example from 2018 when I bothered to complain about this issue: Loading screen temperature.

Yes cleaning does hlep but thats tackling the symptom, not the cause. If your hardware normally runs at 60ºc total load, in that screen it will run at 65ºc for no apparent reason. Now if due to the lack of maintenance your hardware is running at 80ºc+, staying in that screen will push the temperatures over the safety parameters.

Through the assistance of RTSS I also noticed it causes a huge power spike, up to 80% while sitting in that screen.
