Title. On Sunday, I got a ton of emails stating "Thank you for your purchase" for varying prices, totally nearly $100. I had also received an email stating that my user email had been changed. Frantically, I tried to contact Playstation, but I must have attempted when their office was closed.

I then used a live chat, and the representative was amazing! He was able to restore my account back to my username, and he said he started the process on refunding my money. Now, the refund stated it would take a couple of billing cycles to show up on my statements, so I figured everything would be okay in a month or so. I made sure to change my password one last time (3 times total) just for good measure because I'm paranoid about this stuff (I use roughly 20 different passwords). I also turned on two-factor authentication and linked that to my phone number.

Today, I received an email that my two-factor authentication was disabled. I quickly logged in to my account in an attempt to turn it back on, but I was unable to log in with my credentials. I then noticed I also had an email stating that my user email was changed AGAIN. I contacted customer support yet again, and I was told by 2 different representatives that they wouldn't do anything, and I had to wait an "unknown" amount of time to see what happens. Playstation told me I should make a new account if I wanted to play my games. I have no idea if I'm going to be receiving my refund. Thankfully I redacted all payment options on my Playstation account on Sunday, so whoever currently has my account shouldn't be able to make anymore purchases.

I am not sure if I'm going to be receiving my refund anymore, and my account is locked out for an unknown amount of time. Please be careful with leaving any sort of payment options on your Playstation account, as hackers could easily charge multiple games to it, and Playstation/Sony won't help you with it.
