Public opinion of the EU in Sweden is currently so high that one of the political parties simply uses the slogan "More EU" on a recntly revealed election poster

im concerned about the place the eu is heading, i do not want swedish domestic politics to be decided in brussels, i do not want to centralize the governing power of europe into brussels, i do not want to go from being a country to being a memberstate.

You pretty much never have to worry about this. This would require the Council members to give up it's powers and no government would even agree to that. Imagine trying to get 27 countries (since this would be one of those decisions that has to be unanimous) to agree to create a greater Europe. It's up there with snowball's chance in hell. It has never been a very likely scenario, more a pipe-dream for truly dedicated europhiles.

Similarly, the main bits of politics decided in Brussels are things that affect more than one European country at the same time, so everyone agreeing is in our benefits (and sometimes, if you don't talk about it, you end up having no say in the final decision anyway). Main political decisions would still remain at a national level.
