Well, four months.

I mostly turned down "server-also" shifts, which might have been my down-fall, but this is the first place where it seems to be customary that you are a serve-first, cook second, bartender third (dishwasher, etc...)...

This isn't normal in a city that isn't over-saturated with bartenders, and I guess I wasn't ready to stoop that low.

I'd list where I applied and interviewed, but I don't think it's appropriate, especially considering the faux-positive responses I received from the interviewers, and the absolute silence I received afterwards. I guess this is the NY'er in me, but if you don't want me for a job, don't insinuate me that you're giving me the job, then never even have a the fucking balls to respond to my follow-up voicemail thanking you for the interview.
