[Rant] I hate my body, I hate what my body is doing to my mind and I am terrified of the road ahead.

I just re-read your entire post again. Whew, you’re hard on yourself! In truth, you need a new relationship with food. (I know….duh.) But you need a list of go-to foods you can eat when you want a snack or feel temptation. And bananas probably should be off the list for a while…too many carbs, not enough fiber.

Again, a keto lifestyle is very easy to adapt to, because it’s filling, it’s healthy, and it lets your body break those nasty carb cravings. It won’t take years and years to lose the weight. If you stuck to a 1500 calories/day keto diet, you could easily lose 150 lbs. in one year. The last 40-50 after that should be a breeze, too, because you’ll be feeling so much better, mentally and physically. You have youth and height on your side.

Look up the lists of keto-friendly foods. Keep things in your fridge that are ready to go. Wash and drain those berries as soon as you get home, so you have a snack ready to be portioned out. If you’re not much on cooking, keep cold deli meats on hand, like roasted chicken and turkey, roast beef, and even smoked ham…but avoid things like honey, maple, and sugar cured meats.

If you’re not familiar with Stevia flavored drops, look it up on Amazon. Also, sugar free mio drops can help you dump sugary drinks from your diet. I also like Da Vinci sugar-free syrups…especially in plain yogurt…though health purists will poo-poo the Splenda ingredient. (My philosophy is to not let perfect be the enemy of good.)

I hope you give keto a try. Buy a food scale, and measure out all your portions. Keep a food diary, log everything. You’re gonna be gorgeous and fierce, because you’ll finally feel comfortable in your own skin. You sound so ready to get started.
