We’re the Competition Bureau of Canada, and we’ve made recommendations to the CRTC for the Internet code! / Nous sommes le Bureau de la concurrence du Canada, et nous avons fait cinq recommandations au CRTC pour le Code Internet!

I didn't even know Canada has a Competition Bureau. What exactly do you guys do because I do not see any competition here in Canada. The ones that I do see pop up get sued until their company goes under. Please ELI5!

What I really dont understand is why cant Canadian individuals or companies distribute free TV over the Internet? By free TV I mean stuff I have access to OTA. Or stuff that I can pull in from FTA satellites. Or stuff from US that is freely available (you know, the stuff that Bell re-sells to its customers). Or free broadcasts from international markets? It seems any time a company does this, Big Bad Bell lawyers sue the crap out of them.
