You’re designing a media training course..

As someone who this exact scenario happened to my insights:

  1. Respond to at least a couple comments on every post you make.
  2. everybody loves a good clap back, but it can get old. Never more than one video in 10.
  3. If you cannot resist the urge to reply to a troll (I get it, sometimes it’s hard) respond exactly once. Never get into an argument.
  4. Try not to complain. Influencers, regardless of the reality, look really privileged and people often won’t have sympathy.
  5. Be really careful about over sharing. Once it’s out there it’s out there forever.
  6. repost, repost, repost. Redditors aren’t on instagram, instagrammers aren’t on tiktok etc. You can cover a lot of ground that way.
  7. whatever it may look like, keeping it going is a LOT of work. Posting every day can be a real drag, especially if content creating isn’t the thing you’re passionate about. I think those are the main things. Honestly I’m still learning. This is the first year I’m even remotely on track to make something resembling a living, but I’ve also only been doing to for 2 years so ymmv. I can answer questions if anyone’s curious ¯_(ツ)_/¯
