When I met my SO parents I puked pretty much right away.
When I met my SO parents I had just flown across Europe all night and was sick as a dog from a cold. My flight had been delayed several times and I had an ear infections that made me dizzy. When I arrived at the house my SO family shuffled me into the living room for breakfast immediately. His gran walked in, clearly forwarned of my illness and gave me a home cure for my cold. Some kind of honey. Wanting to make a good impression I of course didn't object. As soon as I swallowed it my body had had enough, the dizzyness, the coughing, and I threw up.
Great first impression. They are the nicest people though.
