Re-watched 'The Matrix' (1999) still some of the best best fight scenes I've ever seen.

Sadly, The Wachowski "siblings" are followers of the Scientology-knockoff corporate destructive cult "Landmark EST" which has managed to get banned in most european countries and their founder, like all cult leaders, is involved in tax evasion.

The wachowskis wrote the idea of "sleeping-pod humanity" to allegorize the silly general population who has not yet been awakened by taking expensive Landmark classes. Where, if you go, expect reprimands and verbal abuse if you break rules like chewing gum, wearing your wristwatch or bringing your smartphone, or sitting next to the person that got you into it and could lend you moral support by sitting next to you. These are all elements that strengthen your resolve and sense of individuality and must therefore be removed, to make you a softer mark for the propaganda (nothing surprising, just work for them for free on your spare time and recruit others to join, getting long call-sheets to telemarket. They call it "getting Landmark experience for free!", you are actually an unpaid worker).
