Fellow NEETs: Time is a luxury. Treasure it, spend it wisely!

The time you spend at home in front of the computer playing video games could just as easily be spent learning Python or Javascript instead. It kind of breaks my heart to hear fellow NEETs saying that they have no ambitions at all

I have ambitions. Lots of ambitions.

The problem isn't time. The problem is money.

I've tried and tried working as a designer and frontend developer, but right now it's a race to the bottom. The market is oversaturated due to globalism. (Theme industry)

And working as a freelancer is the worst. Your clients are people who see you as their personal mouse/keyboard.

"Just become better and ask for more money."

True. But the thing is; thanks to marketplaces such as Envato pretty much everything is available already. People expect a top notch website/application/whatever for as little as a couple of hundreds.

A simple project such as a website already takes 3 to 4 weeks, unless you work with templates/themes. But people don't want that, because it must be unique. But the price? Don't mention 4 digits, because "I'll just get a template if it's going to cost me more than a thousand."

Programming already is, but will definitely going to be the most overrated job in the near future, unfortunately. For the simple reason that everyone and their mother is becoming one.

"Just become better."

Yeah, no. I'm sorry, it's a tricky business at this point. Node.js is going to be it! Aaaand it's gone. Haha! Now it's vue.js. Next year? We don't know! Just keep learning... or as they say: adapt, or die.
