The Reason's Why We Are All So Unhappy - MyGestalTherapy

Granted but...it's an interest. An interest that nobody wants to talk about...apparently. I like dialogue - ideas that come from minds other than my own - but on this and a couple of other topics, it's as if I'm speaking Klingon.

Do you understand the me/we..."paradox" thing?

I understand that people are quite thoroughly "practiced" to think in terms of...in "social" terms. In terms of "we" and "us", just due to a learned aversion to using the terms "me" and "I" and taking ownership of their own ideas and opinions for fear of...whatever the hell it is they're afraid might happen if they do but...it's almost as if "speakers" want to speak but don't unless they have some sort of "out" or..."escape hatch" or something. As if the other guy is...as if they view the other guy - and all "other guys" - as...well..."authority". But I don't understand how that can be so, chances are, it's not that - right? And if it's not that, then it's some other "thing" that, apparently, I can't even imagine. I am missing something in this particular...characteristic of "modern man".

It seems like a lot of people consider this particular characteristic to be some sort of "necessary" lie.

Wait...is it one of those things that, because it's never talked about, the individual assumes he/she is the only one who does it? Or who fears whatever the fear is? The only one using it as some sort of "trick"? Or the only one who needs "tricks"? As if everyone else is honest and sincere and that they're the only ones using "tricks"?
