I've been looking into buying a pair of shoes for use with business formal attire for some time now. I went to the Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, CA to try on a few different pairs of dress shoes and I ended up loving the AE Park Avenue. I very much like the design of the shoe and after being fitted by the employee at the store (who was a great pleasure to work with and had no problems with answering all of my questions) I decided to purchase the shoes. Unfortunately though, $425 was definitely out of my price range.

I was originally considering AE factory seconds, but I ended up searching on eBay and I saw a pair in my size that was in excellent condition and in the black color that I wanted for $100. I ended up making the purchase and they arrived today. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase I made. The shoes are in even better condition than the pictures made them out to be.

I'll be pairing these shoes with my only suit: A charcoal Napoli suit from Suitsupply.
