Receiving a generic error when doing anything with a list

This was a rookie mistake; and a dumb one at that. I saved back ups of the web.config files to a different location, then stepped away. Came back thinking they were the originals opened, made changes, saved and rebooted IIS. When i didn't see my desired results, I went back into the web.config files in the wwsroot and saw the changes weren't made. It didn't click that I made them on the backups.

Anyway, here is what I have in the log files. I have no idea to decipher what it is saying. Can you help?
