Did you notice the part of what happened to her personal life while she was consumed with teaching the kids? Her fiancé left her because she was literally never around.
That should not be what we’re striving for.
Also that movie grossly over simplified things.

I hate Freedom Writers for these two main issues:
- teacher martyrdom
- oversimplification of all that is teaching
