Reminded me Steve Balmer's comment on Iphone

I remember when others claimed to beat the iphone shortly after it was released or that they don't make and sell more units than the established brands or that it's just a toy and not a real phone because it doesn't have physical buttons. Does it all sound familiar? If Tesla didn't continue to invest in expanding production every year, they'd say it doesn't matter as a manufacturer because it only makes a few cars. When it expands and raises capital for it, it's not good again because they're not making a profit instantly. It's never going to be presented in a positive light as long as it makes electric cars and beats the other guys.

Porsche, VW, Audi etc. will beat Tesla? At what? They'll be the ones accused of being boutique manufacturers when they make less than 50000 units per year while Tesla will make a million. Where are they going to take the batteries from? What superior features do they bring? The 500 km range is already less than two of Tesla's offerings, all the performance numbers released are less than Tesla's top of the line models, some sedans are even beaten by the Model X in acceleration. I don't know how they'll take Tesla out, the only competition one can imagine is from startups that promise more than Tesla and have already shown working prototypes. Cars like the Lucid Air or FF91 with 130 kWh battery packs and 1000 hp. What established automaker even hinted at 1000 hp electric car? Brave talk or I should say, trash talk from people that couldn't make a better product.
