Yeah, it's so unaffordable that they sell every car they can manufacture. If they lowered the price, it would just increase the waiting period, and they'd make less money.

What galls me is that the company that led the way, proved it could be done, went ahead when the other car manufacturers wouldn't even talk about a common plug, invested its millions and billions, and made GD fools of the rest of the industry world-wide for saying it couldn't be done -- is now going to have its very own law passed to force it to use the charging network of the followers. Yes, I understand it might be better for consumers, maybe it's a good idea overall, but still galls me.
