The roads are almost dead quiet again and it’s beautiful.

I can understand why. My grandad was in hospital in December for a stroke. The MRI showed vessels in his brain were very degraded, we have a family history of aneurisms and vascular issues.

Well fast forward to last week he's in hospital again with another stroke. He tested positive with a rapid test and moved to a covid ward, has not had a PCR test yet. The doctor told us it's a continuation of what started in December.

But here is the kicker. Covid will be listed as his cause of death when he dies from what we have been told. All those second hand stories we have heard, and now this. They have not let us speak to him, not passed his phone or a phone to him and said they may keep him 28 days even though he wants to pass at home.

I come from a family of care workers and nurses. And we all don't buy it. One uncle is a police officer and he and his colleagues have expressed concerns that this is little more than a freedom grab as most of us know someone who's had covid put on a death certificate.

To say livid is an understatement.
