"A measure presented Tuesday by President Iohannis is what I have been asking for - to be energy secure by 2026. The President of Romania has given the investment directions. You know very well - nuclear energy, we already have the projects signed with The United States, and the Black Sea gas project needs to be accelerated. With these two I'm sure we will be able to be independent and to secure ourselves energetically. And they'll certainly be accelerated. I am sure that this is what the Minister of Energy is doing at the moment - he is preparing the resources for next year"

He reminded that the Offshore Law is "a priority".

"We have gained some time because the ROMGAZ's transaction is not yet complete. We still have some time to make sure that the final details on the Offshore Law are already made. (...) PNL is already supporting the version that has already been presented by the Ministry of Energy, with 60% of the revenues to the Romanian state, 40% to the other parties. From here we start, there are other details that are being worked on."
