[RUMOUR] Pato's agent(?) confirms we've signed him for €15m

Right, and as I've already asked, name me a realistic target that we could bring in to improve the squad. It's wonderful that you've felt compelled to avoid the question but one can only assume you've done so because you know that there isn't such options.

We can bring in an Aubameyang or someone for £35-40m and there's no guarantee he is going to hit the ground running either. At this point, you and many other fans will be crucifying Klopp for wasting money.

Klopp's signings are never certain to improve the squad he has available. They are risks. Reus was a risk. Kagawa was a risk. Lewandowski was a risk. I could go on. I mean, really, come on, the lad was fairly young and come from a mid table German team. He was a risk. Its easy with hindsight to suggest otherwise but the fact is, he was bought for a small amount and nurtured at Dortmund, even after doing well beforehand.

If you are feeling this way about Pato then you're going to be having a heart attack when Klopp starts bringing in the Lewandowski's, Kagawa's and so on for small amounts of money. I mean really, none of them were guarantees of improving the side. Lewandowski come from the Poznan and was a gamble, regardless of his goalscoring record there, there was no guarantee of him performing at Dortmund.

The fact is, good managers buy talent or bring it through the youth system, nurture it and work with it, and make these players even better players who fit their team and overall footballing philosophy.

Other managers buy star names, and players they believe will slot straight into the team like a jigsaw puzzle piece, and that often doesn't work, because only an idiot tries to fit square pegs in round holes.
