Saw this while picking up a delivery. Pretty absurd.

Incoming life tip for those of you who have never worked in the service industry (coming from someone who worked as a server for ten years). If it’s a place where there are servers walking around serving tables, it’s a sit down and order restaurant. So sit down and order.

If you order takeout then you are implying you want to eat at home.

If you genuinely change your mind and decide you want to eat in after you’ve picked up you TO GO order, you can try to get a table and if you do, the server will have to clean up after you and bring you your drinks, so you tip them.

Whether you’re against tipping or not, it’s the culture and this is how you approach it.
