Science High Schools

My first week there and my advisor publicly harassed me and my parents outside the building just because I missed her class. Went on for four years. The teachers love public humiliation. They truly held their job with prestige. Probably been scarred for life because 4 years later I still find myself thinking how I'm not out of that system yet, then I get panic attacks. It took everything I had just to survive and get out of there.

Then there's the rise and grind culture that you have to sleep 4 hours during finals week and give everything you have for acads in order to survive. If you don't do it you're considered "lazy"

Imo its not the best place for a teenager to grow in with all their hormonal fluctuations. But acads wise it was very helpful. They teach you things that aren't taught in a regular school. Also because of the low population the teachers can get hands on with your career choices, especially in grade 10. Its a lot of pressure but with it comes quality education and strong connections.
