I don't excuse it. In fact I was disappointed by Scott's performance today, alongside a # of the players.

If this was posted as part of some larger discussion that gave any insight I'd think it was great. I'd be curious why that was the case. What changed from when Scott when involved to when he wasn't? Why did our play change - was it tactical, was Scott hiding, etc?

But as you can see, that isn't why this was posted. Op gave no additional information, and there isn't a single comment in this entire thread giving any analysis at all - because that's not why it was posted.
