I know you haven’t checked out PC much there’s no way to really know this but PC also has way more discounts than PS. Also it’s worth it to me to invest in a PC just for non-gaming use. I'd still say if you have the knowledge to build a PC it’s way more valuable than buying modern consoles anyway as they’re upgrading so often to keep up with the hardware now anyway. I swear the Xbox one x came out just after the one. If multiplayer was free I’d consider it but I can’t justify paying for a service that I’d use sometimes, so I think Sony will lose out on some of the market in that way but I guess that’s why they drop the price a few years after a console comes out
