"Since I've come to WWE. I haven't lived up to my expectations. But finally I will have the opportunity to show, WHO I AM. Get ready #G2S" - Hideo Itami

He's getting over now because of how he's approaching heavyweights. That's what really helped him get over in NOAH and that was him arguably at his best. Go watch his match against Kona Reeves, a considerably bigger wrestler. Kona was disrespecting Hideo the whole match until Hideo finally decided 'enough of this shit,' stood up, and slapped the hell out of Kona. Watch how the crowd reacted to him standing up to Kona. It wasn't your typical babyface comeback and the crowds will appreciate that.

Just give it some time. He needs a good, consistent run. This is only his 2nd Takeover singles match in almost 3 years. He's a wrestler that needs to build momentum. He doesn't have the flashy presentation of Nakamura, Balor, Black, etc.

Hideo/Orton isn't really a good example (although it'd still be good). Give me Hideo vs. Joe, Sheamus, Cesaro, Rusev, Styles, or Nakamura any day over matches with guys from 205 Live. You mentioned Shibata earlier. When you think of Shibata, who are some of his best matches against?
