Singaporeans who work for/run an import-export company, please help.

Why do your customers buy from you instead of buying directly from the manufacturers? Is it only because your customers and the manufacturers don't know each other?

- Cheaper prices at economies of scale

- No liability to any form of defect goods

I run a small trading company and a potential customer would like to visit the production facility to verify if I am legit or not. The only edge I have in this business is that my customers and my production partner (who is also an experienced exporter with a big logistics department) don't know each other. I worry that I will be cut out of the deal if I introduce them to each other. Should I take him there?

- no. trade secret. They have to take your guarantee for it and if anything happens your company is liable.
