I DID IT! Finally killed him with time to spare.

I honestly thought I was going to time out again but apparently I still had like 2 minutes. The build was not so different from my original build, I changed to the Alatreon sns, dropped protective polish and added clutch claw boost. Another thing I did was used the shieldspire Palico tool with the decoy dummy. For some reason it probably made Fatalis do the fire cone much more often. I didn't manage to break his head twice, though, so no evil eyes for me but it's a definite start. At least, I can proudly say I've beaten him solo before playing in a group.

Thank you ALL who commented and gave encouragement. I tried using part Velkhana but had issues with skill slots and the fire resistance. with 2 piece Velk, the fire resistance went down to -9.

I tried part safi as well but carted more often LoL. Although it's definitely an interesting set to use for less deadly monsters (or when I actually git gud).

Still pumped! Keep hunting guys.
