Social media influencer schooled over asking free accommodation from a hotel owner

Yeah, the hotel owner kind of seems like a dick for making this public like that. What if she had 500,000 followers? Or 1 million? I don't really blame the girl for trying to leverage her position. Restaurants, clothing brands, etc. probably give her free stuff all the time. 87,000 followers isn't huge but is a pretty significant following and it doesn't hurt to try. It's not like she's asking them to pay for her flights as well -- a few nights stay only costs a a few hundred dollars. If the room wasn't booked anyway then it costs the hotel like what.... $100? That easily fits into a hotel advertising budget.

The reason why she didn't include her name in the email was to avoid situations like this from prick owners who make fucking t-shirts and videos celebrating their victories. If the owner was interested in doing influencer marketing then she would follow up with more information. It's kind of cringey to me that this "blew up" like it did.
