Solo Sorcerer Spell Picks (full trilogy run)

My thoughts:

I'd recommend protection from petrification and identify as your first picks. It just streamlines the very beginning of the run and they do remain useful all the way through.

There is merit to picking dispel magic over remove magic. Dispel allows you to freely cancel your project image.

Spirit armor is a must-pick if you're doing the dragon disciple thing. Far Sight is significantly better than wizard eye. Wizard eyes just die randomly and can't be resummoned as easily.

If you're playing solo then you really want to take animate dead immediately at level 10. It is way too important for early baldurs gate 2. Breach is an immediate pick when you have fighters in the party. For you as a solo, you don't need it til a bit later.

There is merit to choosing improved haste even in a solo. Improved Hasted planetar's are unbelievable.

Incendiary cloud is a must pick if you're doing the dragon disciple thing. I'd still choose it first over ADHW as a plain sorcerer but you can't go wrong with ADHW. Simulacrum is a must pick also. You can chain contingency a simulacrum & a level 30/31 simulacrum comes with HLAs and level 9 spells. It is way too good to skip. If some other option is enticing, I'd look to drop blind. What I do here is Incendiary Cloud > Spell Trigger > Simulacrum > ADHW.

Don't pick spell trap. You get it for free. Imprisonment can be useful.
