Some questions about Donald from a Canadian

Downvote/Ban me if you want, but I'm a Sanders supporter & voter (NH voter here). BUT out of the Republicans, I definitely support Trump, for being a REAL Republican.

do you think he will be able to get Mexico to pay for his proposed wall?

The point of his "Wall" & making Mexico pay for it is two-fold. He's forcing the candidates to acknowledge the current failed immigration policy with Mexico (Trump has also brought up the weird "Cold War" double standard that Cuban immigrants receive. Most Cuban immigrants are coming through Mexico now. Why does this double standard still exist in 2016?)

It's also putting pressure on Mexico to do something about it. During one of the debates, Trump brought up "Operation Wet-Back". He was crucified by the media, for bringing this up (Yes, it does have a racist name...it was the 1950s...), and also it was a bit of a humanitarian disaster. What the media didn't mention, was that Operation Wet-Back was MEXICO'S PLAN. Mexico was facing an agriculture labor shortage, and needed it's temporary & illegal immigrants back, and put pressure on the United States to do something about it.

By bringing up the Wall & Mexico paying for it, he's putting pressure on Mexico to do something.

do you agree with his stance on this halting of Muslim immigration to the US (I feel like there's more to this, I may recall him saying until the ISIS situation clears out, but I'm not sure so please tell me if that's the case)

This would be a Supreme Court decision, but there is precedent, when the U.S. halted Chinese refugees/immigrants in the mid-1800's. I don't share Trump's view, as I think it was political pandering & ISIS is increasingly becoming more irrelevant by the week. He hasn't really said anything about this issue, since the early December debates, so who knows now.

Donald says he will re-strengthen the US military, however, the US spends the most money on military by far and has already a very advanced military compared to its enemies. Do you feel this is necessary?

This mostly has to due with military waste spending. e.g. The Senate/House keep military programs alive that the PENTAGON doesn't want. So the Pentagon goes "We don't need more Tanks" and the Senate goes " No no no...pretty sure you need $300 Mil worth of new Tanks". That's what he means by re-strengthen: Focus on the programs that work & eliminate the wasteful spending that doesn't help anyone. I mean, when the Pentagon itself acknowledges a waste problem & it's ignored...something is up.

(If what I understand is correct) Donald wants to deport all illegal immigrants. Do you think this is possible? Do you think the money could be better spent?

Again, he's forcing the candidates to address this issue. Illegal immigration is a big problem, that just keeps being ignored. So do we follow the laws or don't we? While I don't support Trump's deportation plan, I DO support him for making it an issue. Personally, I have a "if you have a strong back, we can use ya" attitude, but ignoring this issue is just making it worse for all involved (illegal immigrants included.)

Trump wants to get rid of ObamaCare and replace it with "something great", what do you think this might be?

Obamacare's problem is that it's great in some areas & piss-poor in others: It's way too uneven. While Trump hasn't addressed a plan, I applaud him for bringing this up the failures & successes.

As it stands, Republicans are just "Everything about it is terrible" and Democrats go "It's perfect, nothing needs to change"(outside of Sanders and a few others).

Trump has addressed it's good parts, like medicaid expansion, while demonizing it's failures. He's said in the past that he's a fan of a "single payer" system, so maybe something along those lines.

Donald has denied global warming, do you share this view?

He's sort of flip-flopped on this. Like his FAMOUS tweets from 2012, 2013, where he called it a Hoax created by China to hurt American Production. (He has since said that he was "Joking"). His current rhetoric seems to be to address the issue with Industrialized Nations and not put America at a competitive advantage.

I don't really have a problem with his laissez faire attitude towards it, as I sort-of work in the Utility/power industry. Market Forces in the United States are correcting the issue as pollution = inefficiency & clean/green tech = greater profitability. This is a trend that ins't reversing, as it's literally the future of everything.
