Spinfoil hat theory on why armour sucks now

Well there were scenarios like that, with wrath of the machine, the hunter arms were incredibly useful as they dropped increased heavy ammo against fallen enemies.

Pretty sure it's all classes that have that perk and why I said most. There were a few useful perks, like that one or VoG boots from the original set, but overall I would say most were pretty useless outside of the raid, like Scorch speed or more defense while holding a charge.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for having the perks, but I don't think boots that make less sound in the pleasure gardens are going to make anyone go "screw that Eververse stuff, I need dem Jordans!"

My point was more that they incentivized more people to get eververse armour as they're just about the same on all fronts as armour you'd get anywhere else.

I got that, mine is basically that they didn't do it before, when armor sets were better looking and even then raid stuff was largely useful in one activity making it irrelevant most of the time.
