Bungie completely ruined Lost Sector farming with these changes. The low drop rate wasn't really that big of a deal before the changes. You had to fight RNG, sure, but considering that most lost sectors could be done between 30 seconds to 1:30 minutes you could do such a ridiculously high amount of runs in a small period of time that it was almost a non-issue.

Now take in consideration that sectors take considerably longer due to the power level differences and that the buff to the drop rate was banal at best (from ~25% to roughly 32% on Legend), it's totally not worth it to do them anymore, unless you purposely wait until the last weeks of the season so that way you can overlevel them through artifact bonus.
