Racism is so American...

I don't know. I don't really have a lot of answers when it comes to politics. I've spent years thinking about it, but the more in depth I get the more confused I get. I think conservatives have the right idea about how government should be limited because it sucks and is dangerous, but I also am disturbed by extreme wealth, private control of natural resources, environmental degradation, etc.

I think descendants of slaves should get a sizable, one-time payment as reparations for slavery. Other than that, I tend to think the government should be race-blind when it comes to policy, and I'm not sure affirmative action would have positive effects in the long run. I don't know.

Scholarships for underprivileged kids might be a good start considering how society is structured.

I think it would be even better if more companies just hired people without degrees. I don't get why they insist on that for so many jobs. I mean, I guess being able to get through college says at least something positive about someone, but still.. it seems a little pointless for many professions.
