You're certainly welcome to your opinion on Caitlin/Shiro, but I just wanted to clear up a few things because I think this comment gives the wrong impression of a few points:

First, the cartoon shared in a private group that wasn't meant to be ridiculing transsexuals (although I can certainly see how it would be taken that way, I personally believe Caitlin's explanation that she honestly just thought putting boobs on something made it funny. This doesn't make it right or non-offensive, I just personally feel intent is something to take into consideration). I believe it absolutely was in poor taste and Caitlin definitely needed to issue an apology and an explanation, but she did and I don't feel it was "half-assed" at all. She explained the situation/mindset she was in at the time but fully owned it as childish, offensive, and completely inappropriate and genuinely apologized for it.

Also, she did not in any way participate in bullying a noted blogger. She was part of a facebook group that had members that engaged in some kind of back-and-forth with said blogger (IMO the other members probably did say the things the blogger alleges, given this isn't the first time such accusations have been made), but Caitlin never participated and the blogger admitted that she only felt Caitlin was complicit because she remained part of the group during/after the issue and continued to participate. Said blogger feels that anyone who did not publicly decry the group and leave it essentially bullied her; I disagree with this definition of bullying. IIRC, Caitlin denied knowledge of the actions of the other group members, and I find this credible since by the blogger's own admission, the comments directed towards her were somewhat oblique (e.g. not naming her directly) so you had to know what/who they were talking about to understand them.

Again, I'm not really defending what happened, but I don't want people to read your comment and assume that the owner of Shiro is a transphobic, anti-Semitic bully because that's simply not the conclusion I drew from the facts. Also, I think drawing a parallel between the myriad of issues with Lime Crime and a private though admittedly offensive joke is somewhat unfair. If the Hitler thing were the only thing DD had done wrong, maybe I'd feel differently, but even then I honestly think dressing up as Hitler is worse than one "Adolphin" cartoon.
