This stack of pianos on a beach at low tide.

street corner pianos are great

Until they turn to petty crime, then it's not so damn cute now is it?

It always starts the same way, someone with good intentions gives a kid a piano as a present, thinking they're creating the next Beethoven. The kid's into it for a little while, then realizes how much work becoming a pianist really takes and loses interest. Their parents grow to resent how much space this thing is taking up in their home and just turn it lose to roam the streets, thinking that no one will notice just one feral piano, or that someone will take it in and give it a home. Next thing you know, the piano has joined a gang and starts blocking traffic and teaching kids songs with dirty words. Now it's all of our problems!

Sorry man, but nuisance pianos just don't belong in the wild.
