Stacking item strategy

Here's my detailed thought process in solo q.

  1. Call top because melee characters can actually hit the last two bunnies simultaneously with their basic attacks.
  2. Ignore the first two bunnies because the lane mate (mates, if they didn't call lane) probably won't split last hits evenly.
  3. Take the first ability to clear faster. The two bunnies are enough for level 3.
  4. Don't bother with the middle bunny. I take the top bushes to avoid conflict.
  5. Dash once before reaching their goal and still have it ready after scoring. I prefer to use it in between the two bushes.
  6. Take the first score, it's free unless they have absurd early damage and CC.
  7. While moving/scoring, assess the lanes. Are the enemies looking to stack or defend? Check the opposite lane to deduce their jungler. If they are late, is it because they're weak or because they fought over jungle / tri-laned bottom?
  8. Use the information to decide if you can keep stacking or need to retreat. Generally speaking, I want to take one or both nearby bunnies for a total of three stacks, unless I'm (about to be) outnumbered.
  9. Return to normal (non-stacking) strategy by the time the second bunny spawns.
  10. Get ready for an enemy/ally jungle gank. It's quite unlikely to be level 5 before birds, so I leave the top left bunny for my lane mate.
  11. Play the rest of the game normally. The first gank will tell me how likely I can get my last 3 stacks without dying.

Additional tips:

  1. Never int for stacks. It may be worth it for you, but it will cripple your lane mate and potentially your jungler.
  2. If I stack while my lane mate is 1v2, they should not die. Unless they don't even understand goal shield or flux zone, in which case let them die.
  3. In the same scenario, if they survived but could not get steals, I will give them extra bunnies to catch up. Them being underleveled initially should not matter unless they picked greedy into your lane; that's on them.
  4. If my lane mate decides to join me in stacking, I don't go back and defend, but I show courtesy by splitting the two enemy bunnies.
  5. Using items (x speed, focus band) and passives (like lucario and trevenant) can let me get away with 1 more stack than I normally would. The downside is I won't have it ready for an immediate skirmish.
  6. Every now and then the lane will be extremely successful, since stealing all bunnies can destroy some matchups. Like you and your partner are both level 5, against two level 3 eevees and their jungler failed to help at 8:50 birds. Exert your presence and make sure they never evolve until 8:00 birds.
  7. If my lane mate runs exp share, I play with them normally and abandon the stacking strategy completely.
